Glasgow International Airport is owned by BAA, and was the first airport in Scotland to handle over one million passengers in one month. The airport handles over 8 and a half million passengers per year, making it the busiest in Scotland. A £30 million redevelopment of the terminal services are underway at the moment, but completion is planned towards the end of 2008. A direct rail link to Glasgow Central train station is due to be in operation by 2010.

Glasgow airport is located 8 miles west of the city centre of Glasgow, close to the towns of Paisley and Renfrew, in Renfrewshire, Scotland.

Each car park is controlled at regular intervals. There are regular transfer coaches to the terminals from the long stay car parks, but please allow an extra 30 minutes from parking your car to getting to the terminal.

Glasgow airport has one terminal, which is split into three floors. Domestic and international check-in desks are located in the middle of the ground floor, whilst the departures lounge is on the first floor.
