Blackpool International Airport offers fast, efficient commuter services for travellers wishing to fly to Spain, Tenerife, Crete and many other parts of Europe. Aircraft have been flying to and from Blackpool airport since it opened in 1909, and in recent years has invested over £2 million to refurbish the passenger terminal. The airport is designed to handle over 1.5 million passengers per year, on their voyage to over 25 European destinations, including flights to Ibiza, Alicante and the Costa del Sol. Directions

Blackpool Airport is located two and a half miles southeast of Blackpool, in Lancashire. A dual carriageway connects Blackpool Airport to a network of motorways. From Junction 4 of the M55 follow the A5230 and turn left at the first roundabout. This north-west airport is ideally situated and is used by passengers from St Anne’s, Lytham, Preston, Blackburn, and Morecombe. Manchester is a mere 60 minute drive away! It is well worth checking these smaller airports for flight cancellations, as most are easily accessed by rail and/or road.

Blackpool International airport offers travellers access to ample car parking spaces. The short stay car park is ideal for staying 24 hours or less, and for collections and arrivals. The long stay car park offers great rates for those wishing to leave their car at the airport whilst they fly away for a number of days.
