Belfast International Airport is also known as Aldergrove airport, and is the second largest airport in Ireland, in terms of passenger numbers. Over 5 million passengers travelled to and from Belfast International in 2006. There are two airports in Belfast, the other being the George Best Belfast City Airport. Belfast International services over 48 scheduled destinations, including long haul flights to Newark, Toronto, Vancouver, Africa, Caribbean, Mexico and the USA. European destinations include flights to Spain, Crete, Lanzarote, Tenerife and Turkey.
Directions
Belfast Airport is located 13 miles northwest of Belfast, in Northern Ireland. The airport is conveniently situated as it borders the regions of the Republic of Ireland. Belfast city centre is just 20 minutes away.
Car Parking
Belfast International airport offers travellers access to over 8000 car parking spaces. The short stay and main car parks are situated within easy reach of the terminal building, with a courtesy shuttle bus which operates from the long stay car park. Prices for the short stay park range from £1.00 for 30 minutes, up to £33.00 for 24 hrs. The main car park is ideal for business travellers, or short break passengers, who wish to park just for a few days, prices range from £1 for 30 mins to £11 for 24 hrs. For those travellers who wish to leave their car at the airport for the duration of their family holidays, parking spaces can be pre-booked at the Q-Park. Prices start at £6 per day, up to £60 for 15 days.. For those who do not pre-book, the price does go up quite substantially, approximately £98 for a fortnight.

Passengers can enjoy the benefits of several car rental firms, including Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and National. Desks are located in the main arrivals hall.

Conference and Business facilities at Belfast International
Belfast International airport offers the corporate traveller a discrete and sophisticated choice of business facilities, the airport has teamed up with the Bank of Ireland to offer travellers a business lounge with a choice of meeting rooms. Wireless internet access is also available.
Terminals
Belfast International Airport has one main passenger terminal, servicing flights to and from Europe, as well as long haul flight destinations to the USA, Africa and Canada. The airport also shares its runways with the Royal Air Force, based at Aldergrove.

Passports / Visas
A valid passport, with at least six months validity is required when flying from this airport. All travellers are required to show some sort of photo identity on domestic flights, these include your passport or driving licence. If you plan to travel outside British territories you may require a visa to enter the country you are going to. Please ask your travel agent or contact your airline for further information. Visas are not required for trips within the European Union.
